To fill with ink: 

1. Dip the nib in an inkwell and cover it entirely in ink.
2. Turn the [black] converter screw counter-clockwise to push out air.
3. Turn the screw clockwise to pull in the ink. Repeat a few times, if necessary, to rid the inkwell and/or nib of any air.
4. Wipe the nib of ink. Let is lay on the wipe for a few moments to ensure any excess ink is soaked from the nib.
5. Write on paper and enjoy.
